Pyramid salt flakes are lovingly made by hand: first, the brine is slowly heated so that pyramid-shaped crystals form on its surface; these are then allowed to grow until they look like tiny pyramids; and, finally, they are carefully skimmed off and sun-dried. Pyramid salt is not only a feast for the eyes, but also an extraordinary taste experience that has nothing to do with cheap salt – sweet at first, then delicately bitter, and pleasantly salty in the end.
